CELEBRATION IN HONOR TO ST. VINCENT MARTYR (valencia Pattern) Juanary 22, 2013

On January 22 we celebrate the feast in honor of San Vicente Martir (Vicente de Zaragoza) is the valence pattern.
It is a public holiday in the city of Valencia and according to tradition, was a holiday only  within three crosses of the city, which marked the margins of the ancient city.
The events of the day of "Sant Vicent" are purely religious and are developed in different churches of Valencia.

10:30 am Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of Valencia by the Archbishop of Valencia. For this Eucharist will feature a musical composition (by the prefect of sacred music canonic of the cathedral), entitled "Misa Adveniente Tercio Milenio" (which premieres this day).


11:30 am (approximately the end of the Mass) religious procession in honor of Saint Vincent Martyr, with the following itinerary:
Output of the cathedral through the "Porta dels Ferros" (irons door) (next to miguelete), Plaza de la Reina, Calle de la Mar (with a stop at the San Vicente's prison), calle avellanas, calle Palau, Plaza de la Almoina (with a stop in front of the San Vicente's oven), ending with the entrance through the “Porta de l’Almoina” (almsgiving door) (located on the back of the cathedral).

12 hours in St. Vincent Martyr Parish (located in Plaza España), will be held a Mass, an offering and a firecrackers shot.


12:30 pm in the church of Sant Estebe (St Stephen) Sant Vicent Ferrer's  baptism (Valencian Saint) "La Festa dels Bultos (the feast of lumps), named in reference to the 19 figures representing the 19 attendees the baptism of St. Vincent Ferrer (the Valencian Community pattern), celebrated the January 23, 1350. in this church.

On this day a child is baptized in the baptismal font of Sant Vicent Ferrer (named in honor of St. Vincent Martyr).
The event will start in "El Pouet de Sant Vicent" (the little Pit of St. Vincent) situated at calle  del Mar where the Civic procession began, birth House facade , Calle de la Mar direction to Glorieta, Calle de la Paz, Plaza de la Reina, Calle Avellanas , Calle Palau, Calle Los Venerables, up to the church of St. Stephen, Protomartyr Where will the Christening.

On route candies were the launch.


In the parish Cristo Rey (San Vicente de la Roqueta, Calle San Vicente next to Plaza Spain).
At 12 hours a Holy Mass officiated and sharing breads.
At 20 hours a Mass will be held according to the Hispanic-Mozarabic rite.
