WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH (world music concerts)

On January 17 the Catholic Church celebrates its World Day of Migrants and Refugees.
So today Sunday January 20, 2012 is celebrated a Mass presided by Archbishop of Valencia in the Church of Santa Catalina (next to  la reina plaza de , in the center of Valencia).

Mass will be at 17 hours to be attended by representatives of different nationalities with their respective flags.
After the Mass, there will be musical performance of individual countries an ethnic guests at the door of the Church.


Although not many bands that act, each representing several songs.

DAY IN DEFENSE OF OUR FORESTS (mountains) December 15, 2012

Today Saturday December 15 is a fundraising day organized by Ecologistas en Accion de la  Serranía.

Begin at 19:30 pm with a talk about the causes and effects of wildfires.

Continue at 21 am with a  Popular Vegetarian dinner.

And from 22:30 concerts and DJs

All funds raised will go to shoot a documentary on fire.

The events were held in the Occupied Social Centre "Project Mayhem" in Pavia Street, 91 in Cabañal (Valencia).

Unfortunately, I have no information on price or anything else. Although seeing prices of other calls usually cost about 3 Euros.

GIGATRON CONCERT (the gods of metal) November 16, 2012

The last friday in the Rock City Valencia (a live music club, located in Almassera, an outskills town in the north of Valencia, you can arrive in metro) was held a concert from the legendary Spanish heavy band GIGATRON, introducing the new album. The tickets sold out very quickly for the great public, and for this reason thes friday they'll repeat.
The tickets cost 16 Euros, 20 in the box office. I strongly recomended to buying it  as soon as possible in order to have one.
The doors will be open at 20:30 P.M.

MALÚ CONCERT NOVEMBER 10/11/2012

On Saturday November 10 the singer Malu will play at the Palau de la Música in Valencia.
The concert will start at 21:30 and tickets cost about 35 Euros but I've seen cheaper prices on some websites.

MANOLO GARCIA'S CONCERT November 10, 2012

On day 27 September 2012 Manolo Garcia had to to act in Burjassot, but due to health problems, the concert was canceled.
Finally will be held this Saturday November 10.
The concert will take place at 22 am at the Burjasot Municipal Sports Centre.  
September Tickets are valid for now. the price is 31 Euros.

XVIII FESTIVAL MUSIC BAND MARITIME DISTRICT November 11, 2012

This Sunday November 11, 1012 was held at the Museum of the shipyards of Valencia (next to the port, the street behind JJ Domine) the XVIII Festival of Bands Maritime District.

In this festival, will play all the municipal Bands from the Maritim Towns.

The festival began at 10:30 am and admission is free.

The concert is in Parque Central (Calle Ramon Menendez Pidal, in the town of Torrente located about 10 kilometers southwest of Valencia). The tube that comes to Torrent has a frequency of passage of 20 minutes, although the return must be by a different transport.

LOW COST FESTIVAL Benidorm 27-28-29 July

The LOW COST FESTIVAL was born 3 years ago in Benidorm (Alicante) (located about 140 kilometers south of Valencia) beeing an alternative music festival. Due to the large number of public, last year the site was change now is held at The Sports City Guillermo Amor.

This festival is very different from FIB, among other things because if you have groups of independent music too, is more focused on a national audience (though it's hard to believe, because Benidorm lives of tourists) also attempts to be environmentally sustainable, no camping own, but has an agreement with a local camping and the bus line that goes up there, has parking for bikes. The beach is close but not on the concerts area.

It has 3 stages, at the box office can only buy bonds of 3 days, so if you go for less time purchase it online or at the authorized stores. The prices vary greatly depending on the number of peopleif you want camping and the type of pack.

The Web is very complete, soyou can look for more information on it (though I think is in Spanish only).

COSTA DE FUEGO 20 and 21 July in Benicassim (Hard-Rock Festival & Metal)

This year is organized the first festival COSTA DE FUEGO, using the music and camping enclosure of the FIB (next to the beach).
There are three stages where simultaneously are playing the groups.
The payment of 2 days costs 80 Euros, and includes free camping 4 days (from day 19 to 22). The other option is the entry of only one day for 42 Euros (non-camping).

The visible head of the cartel, at day 20 is GUNS N 'ROSES and MARILYN MANSON on 21 (although the other groups are really fine).

FESTIVAL AUPA LUMBREIRAS Villena 13 – 14 July 2012

On 13 and 14 July, is celebrated in Villena (Alicante, located about 120 kilometers southwest of Valencia) Heaby Music Festival, Punk, Rock, among other similar styles AUPA LUMBREIRAS at its 15th edition.

You can arrive by train from Valencia, from there are several regional trains per day, with different prices from 9.15 euros.
In its website are also bus tours and how to contact.

Payment of 2 days, 35 Euros early entry. 40 Euros At the box office
Entry a single day 30 Euros.
There are Free camping area with showers and other services.
